Impact Hackathon Berlin: Two Days, Real Campaigns, Measurable Impact
You don't want another certificate — you want a portfolio piece that speaks in real numbers? Then this is your weekend. At the Impact Hackathon in Berlin, you'll build complete performance marketing campaigns across two intensive days in two teams — with real platforms, a real product, and a real market. No sandbox, no theory. Live.
Powered by NXTLX – Next Leadership Experience and the Delta Campus network.
What it's about
Two teams. Two days. One shared goal: drive real sales for a real product through performance marketing. Each team builds a complete campaign across Meta Ads, Google Ads, Pinterest, Shopify, and Etsy. In the end, the team that performs best wins — and takes home a €1,000 prize.
The product, the brief, and the full target audience analysis are revealed on day one — so everyone starts from the same line, on the same morning. This is not a classic coding hackathon. Here, marketing, e-commerce, and analytics meet. If you come from one of these fields and finally want to prove what you can do under real competitive conditions: apply.
The problem: You don't gain experience in a course
Most of us learn performance marketing in theory. We know what a ROAS is, we know UTM parameters, we've clicked through GA4 tutorials. But between "understood" and "actually did it, under time pressure, on a live campaign," there's a gap that no online course closes.
Employers want to see that you've delivered — not that you could in theory. And this is exactly where most people get stuck: the project where you genuinely carried responsibility, with a measurable result at the end, is missing.
The solution: A real market experiment in 48 hours
The Impact Hackathon gives you exactly that project. You're not working on a case study — you're working on a campaign that goes live and sells a real product. You get:
Real platform access — Shopify, Meta, Google, Pinterest, Etsy
A professional target audience analysis from debiaslab.com as a shared information base
A real product and brief, handed over on day one
Measurable results you can take into every job interview afterwards
In the end, you've done something — not just heard about it. That's the core of NXTLX.
The five roles: Where do you fit in?
Each team consists of a maximum of five people. You apply for the role that fits you. Smaller teams can combine roles (e.g. Lead + Data or Creative + Shop).
1 · Lead – Project Lead & Strategy
You're the CEO of the team for the weekend. You make the final channel and budget decisions, keep time under control, and pitch to the jury at the end. For everyone with a business, marketing, or startup background who wants real leadership experience.
2 · Creative – Content & Design
You deliver the visual and textual foundation: ad creatives, headlines, ad copy, and landing page copy. For people from design, UX, social media, or photography who are confident with Canva or Adobe — and want their creativity measured against hard sales numbers.
3 · Media Buyer – Performance Marketing
You turn budget into traffic: campaign setup on Meta, Google, and Pinterest, targeting, A/B tests, budget allocation. For everyone from performance marketing or e-commerce who wants to prove their ROAS under real competitive conditions.
4 · Shop & SEO – Web Performance & E-Commerce
You build the infrastructure that converts traffic into purchases: Shopify product pages, Etsy listings, landing pages, and SEO of the product copy. For e-commerce, SEO, or web dev profiles with conversion rate optimization in their blood.
5 · Data – Analytics & Tracking
You're the analytical conscience of the team: UTM structures, GA4 tracking, dashboards, daily reporting, and KPI forecast. For data science and BI people who want to translate data into decisions in real time.

Tech & access
Each team gets its own, clearly separated access so every sale is cleanly attributed:
Shopify — staff access with a dedicated UTM parameter set per team
Meta Ads — sub-accounts with a defined budget cap per team
Google Ads — MCC access, separate campaign per team (Search + Shopping)
Pinterest Ads — Business Account with team invite
Etsy — listings under the existing shop
Image assets — shared folder, editing allowed
Why "Impact" is in the name
This hackathon combines growth, learning, and impact. The product you'll market has a social and sustainable component — it's not about "selling more" for its own sake, but about reach for a meaningful product. You create a documentable, scalable milestone (NXTmilestone) and train exactly the skills that real leadership requires: decisions under time pressure, prioritization with a tight budget, team dynamics, and the convincing pitch.
Ready? Then apply.
Spots are limited to two teams of five people each. Tell us which role you're burning for — and be there on 18 & 19 July at Delta Campus.
